The Deputy Secretary General of the National Resistance Movement (NRM), Rt. Hon. Rosemary Namayanja, has concluded a highly productive mobilisation tour across the three districts that make up the Greater Luweero Sub-Region—Nakasongola, Luweero, and Nakaseke. The tour marks the official kickoff of the NRM’s revitalised grassroots mobilisation strategy, a method long emphasized by President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni as the most effective path to sustained political support.

Rt. Hon. Namayanja’s visit brought together district leaders, mobilisers, and elected officials in a coordinated effort to strengthen the party’s structures right from the village and parish level, ensuring communities receive accurate information about government achievements and ongoing development programs.

A Strong Team Spread Across Districts
The DSG moved with a dedicated delegation of senior party leaders and mobilisers who were strategically placed across the three districts to oversee mobilisation efforts. The team included:

- Hon. Dr. JC Muyingo
- Hon. Minister Muruuli Mukasa
- Hon. Nyongore
- Hon. Nuuwa Mutebi
- Wasswa Abdukarrim Tamale
- Hon. Ali Ndawula
- Hon. Rebecca Nalwanga
- Mr. Tayebwa Steven
- Mr. Mukasa Kityo
These leaders pledged their full commitment to ensuring that President Museveni and NRM candidates secure a massive victory—targeting at least 90% support across the region.

Grassroots First: A Strategy Rooted in NRM’s Identity
During the engagements, Rt. Hon. Namayanja emphasized that the strength of the NRM has always come from its relationship with ordinary citizens. She reiterated that the new mobilisation approach would begin at the village level, empowering parish and village committees to reconnect with communities and consolidate party structures.

“We have come on the ground—no turning back. Be brave, we are with you,” Namayanja encouraged district leaders.
She added that grassroots mobilisation remains the most trusted strategy championed by President Museveni, ensuring the party remains close to the people it serves.
NRM Leaders Motivated Amid Regional Political Activity

The NRM mobilisation efforts took place on the same day that opposition figure Robert Kyagulanyi (Bobi Wine) held a campaign activity in Luweero. According to NRM organisers, the modest turnout in some areas—particularly among youths—further motivated the ruling party’s team to intensify their engagement and reclaim the region’s historical support.
NRM leaders expressed confidence that with renewed energy, unity, and direct community involvement, the party is well-positioned to regain political dominance in Greater Luweero—a region that holds deep historical significance to the Movement dating back to the liberation struggle.

A Unified Push Toward 2026
As Rt. Hon. Namayanja concluded her three-district tour, she commended the commitment displayed by district teams and affirmed that the party is more united and energised than ever.
With structured teams now deployed in Nakasongola, Luweero, and Nakaseke, the NRM says it is ready to deliver overwhelming support for President Museveni and all party candidates in the forthcoming elections.
