Dr Cissy Mulondo has urged leaders under the National Resistance Movement to focus on implementing the NRM manifesto through effective service delivery aimed at transforming the lives of ordinary Ugandans.
Dr. Mulondo made the remarks while serving as the Special Guest during the swearing-in ceremony of William Magambo and councilors at Natyole Playground in Busiika Town Council.

Addressing thousands of residents, party supporters, and local leaders, Dr. Mulondo emphasized that the success of NRM leadership depends on leaders fulfilling the promises contained in the party manifesto through practical development programs and quality service delivery.
She called upon all elected leaders to work closely with communities and ensure government programs directly benefit the people through improved healthcare, clean water access, electricity connectivity, education, infrastructure, and youth empowerment initiatives.

“The people want to see results through service delivery. Leaders must implement the NRM manifesto faithfully and ensure government programs reach every citizen without discrimination,” she said.
Dr. Mulondo also appealed for reconciliation and unity among NRM leaders, noting that cooperation and teamwork are essential for accelerating development and strengthening the party at grassroots level.

She further reiterated President Yoweri Museveni’s message on fighting corruption, warning leaders against misuse of public resources and urging transparency in public service.
According to Dr. Mulondo, corruption remains one of the biggest obstacles to effective service delivery and socio-economic transformation in many communities.

She encouraged leaders to continue mobilizing support for NRM by preaching the party’s ideology and demonstrating leadership through action and accountability.
“We must strengthen NRM by delivering services to the people. When wananchi see improved livelihoods and development, they will continue supporting the party,” she added.
During the same event, Mayor William Magambo pledged to transform Busiika Town Council into a model urban center through accountable leadership, improved governance, youth and women empowerment, and strengthened public service systems.

Magambo emphasized that his administration will prioritize transparency, proper management of public resources, and better service delivery to all residents regardless of political affiliation.
The Guest of Honor, Brig Gen Jacob Asiimwe represented by Dr Kiyini Lule, also called for unity among political leaders and technical staff, saying collaboration is key to achieving meaningful transformation and development within the area.
The ceremony attracted massive crowds of residents and NRM supporters who expressed optimism that the new leadership will improve essential services and accelerate development across Busiika Town Council.
