Today, *Ven.David and Maama Catherine Ssekimpi* have been inducted and installed as the *11th Archdeacon of Ndeeba* Archdeaconery.
This was at *St.Paul Church of Uganda in Ndeeba Parish* at the Headquarters of Ndeeba Archeadconry. The ceremony was conducted by the 5th Bishop of Mukono Diocese, *The Rt.Rev.Enos Kitto Kagodo.* The Bishop was assisted by *The Very Rev.Can.Godfrey Ssengendo* , The Diocesan Secretary *Rev.Can,John Ssebudde* , *Rev.Can.Edward Balamaze Kironde* from Seeta, Canons, Archdeacons, Clergy and Lay Readers. In the same service, *Bishop Enos Kitto Kagodo confirmed 142* confirmants into the Anglican Faith.
In his sermon, *Bishop Kagodo* urged the congregation to endeavor and work hard in whatever they do and should expect profit in God’s name. In this forth-coming annual harvest, the Christians should give in whole heartedly and then should get all the reward from God, and to prepare their lives while on earth in *preparation for the eternal life in heaven* . The Bishop told the congregation that we have all been called to serve and profit.
In his Charge, *Ven David Ssekimpi* has promised to construct a state of the art residence for the Archdeacon. *He will be supportive to all the Diocesan activities* like building the new cathedral, to promote mission work especially in the uniting of people from all walks of life, to put loads of care in their children who are at school and those who were not at school by providing them with educative workshops and forums which will help them in their spiritual and day to day life, to start fellowships in areas *where they are non–existent and to support those ones which are already active* among others.
*Hon.Minister of State for Finance Amos Lugolobi* who was the chief guest, reiterated that the government will work hand in hand with the Diocese to promote spiritual and economic development of their people.
He urged the belivers to support each other and have a strong attachment with the church and its leaders because it’s the link that connects them to God. *He has contributed one million cash ( 1.000.000/=)* towards the purchasing of the Archdeacons’ vehicle and pledged another *two million* on the same noble cause.
The induction ceremony has been graced by many religious leaders, *Heads of Department from Mukono Diocese,* political leaders, Buganda Kingdom Officials, Headteachers and many joyful Christians from different corners of Parishes that make up Ndeeba Archdeaconry.
*Ndeeba Archdeaconry started on 01/01/1978* and it has been with *10 Archdeacons* , *Ven.David Ssekimpi being the 11th* . Ven.David Ssekimpi replaced the now *Bishop of Luweero Wilson Kisekka
