In an effort to benchmark , On 25th march 2026, a delegation of engineers from the Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA), led by the Deputy Executive Director, Benon Kigenyi and the independent presidential advisor on trade and investment Dr. Jim Tibuhaburwa visited Truxor Wetland Equipment AB in Sweden a globally recognized company renowned for its innovative solutions in waterway maintenance, dredging, and sustainable drainage management. In a statement released by the team working with Dr. Jim, highlighted,  yesterday, the significance of such engagement.

 

"The visit reflects the Government of Uganda’s continued commitment to advancing urban infrastructure development, particularly in the critical sectors of drainage and road management. During the engagement, the delegation had the opportunity to interact with Truxor’s technical experts, observe international best practices, and exchange valuable knowledge and experiences in sustainable urban infrastructure solutions.", statement reads.

 

Adding that Such partnerships and knowledge-sharing initiatives are essential in supporting Uganda’s vision for resilient, modern, and environmentally sustainable cities. We appreciate the warm reception and insightful discussions that will contribute greatly to strengthening urban infrastructure management back home. It should be noted that Uganda is one of the countries that has created employment especially to young people through such investments.
