Koboko, Uganda — President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has praised Koboko District for its remarkable development strides under the Parish Development Model (PDM), highlighting both economic transformation and improved social infrastructure as he rallied supporters in a sea of yellow.

In a message shared on his official social media platforms, President Museveni revealed that Koboko District has so far received Shs18.2 billion through the PDM initiative, directly benefiting over 18,000 households to join the money economy.

“Koboko has made great progress. Under our PDM, the district has received Shs18.2 billion, supporting over 18,000 households to join the money economy,” Museveni stated.

The President noted that access to safe water now covers 79% of villages in the district, while electricity has continued to reach more homes, schools, and businesses — a key pillar in Uganda’s journey toward socio-economic transformation.

In the education sector, Museveni reported that Koboko now boasts 59 government primary schools, six secondary schools, and two new seed schools under construction to ensure every sub-county has access to quality education facilities.

Accompanying the President’s statement were powerful images of massive crowds dressed in NRM’s signature yellow, filling up open grounds in Koboko town. The turnout, which covered every visible space, demonstrated the continued grassroots strength of the NRM and Museveni’s enduring political influence in the region.

The energetic crowd cheered as Museveni’s message of prosperity, peace, and development resonated with the achievements highlighted under his leadership. The event reaffirmed Koboko as a key NRM stronghold and showcased the movement’s mobilization capacity ahead of future political contests.
