NRM Regaining Ground in Buganda, Says Hon. Cissy Namujju
The National Resistance Movement (NRM) is regaining its footing in the Buganda region ahead of the 2026 national elections, according to Hon. Cissy Namujju, the Woman Member of Parliament for Lwengo District and a member of the NRM Buganda Caucus

Campaign Engagements
Hon. Namujju revealed that the party has embarked on a campaign dubbed "Buganda for Museveni," which involves traveling to different districts within the Buganda region to engage with local people and understand their concerns. Through these engagements, the party aims to address the issues affecting the people and win back their support.

Addressing Voter Concerns
Hon. Namujju emphasized that the party is committed to solving the problems faced by voters, particularly those who are disgruntled. She noted that the Parish Development Model (PDM) needs to be revised in some areas with larger populations, which currently receive the same amount of funding as smaller areas

Confidence in NRM's Victory
The MP expressed confidence that NRM will win the next elections with a higher percentage than before, citing President Museveni's strong support across the country. Hon. Robert Migadde Ndugwa, the leader of the NRM Buganda Caucus and MP for Buvuma County, is spearheading the party's efforts in the region.

Appreciation for Supporters
Hon. Namujju thanked her supporters for their turnout at a recent event in Lwengo District, demonstrating the party's growing momentum in the region. As the party continues to engage with voters and address their concerns, it is poised to make significant gains in the Buganda region in the 2026 elections.¹
