A monitoring visit by the Office of the National Chairman (ONC) to Wakataayi Primary School in Luweero District has highlighted the importance of strengthening school infrastructure and improving learning conditions.

The visit was conducted by Waswa Abdulkarim Tamale, ONC Regional Coordinator for Greater Luweero and Political Personal Assistant to Dr. John Chrysostom Muyingo.

The monitoring exercise was carried out under the guidance of Yoweri Kaguta Museveni through the Office of the National Chairman led by Hadijah Namyalo.

During the visit, school administrators and teachers expressed appreciation to the government for its continued support to the education sector, particularly through timely payment of teachers’ salaries and the consistent release of capitation grants.

The monitoring team noted the importance of renovating some classroom structures to further improve the learning environment for pupils.

In addition, the school leadership emphasized the need for constructing a perimeter fence around the school to enhance security and protect school property.

The visit also highlighted the importance of strengthening staffing levels, which would further improve supervision and academic support for learners.

Tamale commended the teachers for their dedication and encouraged the community to continue supporting the school in its development efforts.

He emphasized that the government under President Museveni remains committed to ensuring that government schools continue to improve infrastructure, learning environments, and education outcomes across the country.

The monitoring exercise reaffirmed the commitment of the Office of the National Chairman to continue supervising government programs and ensuring that communities benefit from national education initiatives.
