MUKONO, UGANDA | 24 October 2026 — Seeta High School Mukono Mbalala Campus has held a dedication Mass for its 343 Senior Six candidates ahead of their final examinations, bringing together learners, parents, teachers, school administrators and religious leaders to pray for the candidates’ success and encourage them as they prepare to complete their secondary education.

The Mass, held on Saturday, 24 October 2026, provided an opportunity for the school community to commit the candidates’ examination journey to God while emphasising the importance of discipline, determination, faith and academic integrity.

Rev. Fr. Anthony Musaala of Lubaga Cathedral, who addressed the candidates, called upon all learners across Uganda preparing for their final examinations to remain focused on their studies and avoid activities that could distract them during this crucial period. He commended teachers for their efforts in preparing candidates academically and urged learners to make good use of the knowledge and skills acquired throughout their studies.

Rev. Fr. Musaala emphasised that success requires not only academic preparation but also discipline, determination and responsible decision-making. He cautioned candidates against engaging in activities that could jeopardise their academic progress, urging them to remain committed to their goals and approach their examinations with confidence.

Addressing the economic challenges facing many families, particularly the rising cost of living, Rev. Fr. Musaala encouraged candidates and their parents to continue trusting in God, whom he described as the ultimate source of strength and hope during difficult times. He called upon families to remain prayerful and steadfast as they navigate the challenges of the examination period and prepare for the next stage of the candidates’ lives.

The Head Teacher of Seeta High School Mukono Mbalala Campus, Mr Boniface Ssebukalu, revealed that the school had presented 343 Senior Six candidates for the final examinations, noting that they had undergone extensive academic preparation under the guidance of their teachers.

Mr Ssebukalu commended the school administration, teachers and parents for working together to ensure that the candidates received the academic guidance and support necessary to prepare for their examinations. He particularly appreciated the parents and their leaders for their continued cooperation and contribution to the learners’ education.

He emphasised that preparing candidates for national examinations requires a collective effort involving the school, parents and learners themselves, adding that the dedication Mass provided an opportunity to encourage the candidates spiritually as they prepare to demonstrate the knowledge and skills acquired throughout their studies.

Mr Ssebukalu also cautioned candidates against examination malpractice, particularly cheating, urging them to uphold honesty and integrity throughout the examination period. He appealed to all candidates across Uganda to avoid any form of examination misconduct and instead rely on their preparation, knowledge and personal abilities to achieve success.

This year’s Senior Six candidates at Seeta High School Mukono Mbalala Campus have a notable academic background, having been part of the cohort that emerged as the country’s top-performing group at the Senior Four level two years ago. Their previous achievement provides an encouraging foundation as they prepare to complete their secondary education, with the school community hopeful that they will build on that success through continued commitment, discipline and determination.

The dedication Mass underscored the important role played by parents, teachers, school administrators and religious leaders in supporting learners during critical stages of their academic journey. While teachers have worked to equip candidates with the necessary knowledge and skills, parents have continued to provide encouragement and support, complemented by the spiritual guidance offered by religious leaders.

As the 343 candidates prepare to sit their final examinations, Seeta High School Mukono Mbalala Campus has encouraged them to remain focused, confident and disciplined, while upholding the values instilled in them throughout their education. The school wishes its candidates and all other examination candidates across Uganda success as they prepare to complete this important chapter of their education and pursue future academic and professional opportunities.
