The championship has attracted wide participation, with Mukono Zonal General Secretary Steven Omondi confirming that 16 boys’ teams and 12 girls’ teams are competing. The strong turnout reflects the continued growth of basketball at grassroots level in line with international standards promoted by the International Basketball Federation, the world body responsible for developing and regulating the sport globally.

In the girls’ category, Seeta Main Campus showcased their strength with a convincing 31–15 victory over St. Balikuddembe. Head coach Raymond Tainuka expressed confidence in his squad’s ability to maintain momentum and push for the championship title.

Seeta Nama Campus also registered a commanding 33–10 win against Forest Hill, with coach Martin Sasita attributing the performance to consistent training and tactical discipline.

With strong performances across all campuses—Main Campus, A Campus, and Nama Campus—Seeta High Schools have set the pace early in the tournament and established themselves as clear contenders for top honors. The championship will run for three days and conclude this Sunday, with Seeta High Schools aiming to turn their dominant start into overall victory.
