Bamunanika, Luweero District — St. John Chrysostom Kakoola Primary School held a Thanksgiving Mass to celebrate its exceptional performance in the 2025 Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE), reaffirming its position among the leading government-funded schools in Luweero District.

Out of 54 candidates who sat for PLE, the school proudly produced 40 First Grades, while the remaining pupils passed in Second Grade — a remarkable achievement that continues to place the institution among the district’s best performers.

In recognition of this success, Hon. Dr. JC Muyingo, Minister of State for Higher Education, congratulated the school with a financial contribution of UGX 20 million and pledged further support toward expansion of infrastructure to match the growing enrolment, now exceeding 800 learners. The contribution was delivered by his Personal Assistant and ONC Regional Coordinator for Luweero Sub-Region, Wasswa Abdulkarim Tamale.

Leaders emphasized that Dr. Muyingo’s commitment to the school reflects the enduring vision of his late father, Johnchrysostom Ssekidde, who believed that transforming Kakoola, Bamunanika, and Luweero at large through education would uplift the entire community. The fruits of that vision are now visible through consistent academic excellence and strengthened institutional development.

Headteacher Mr. Olono Chrysestom expressed gratitude to Hon. Dr. Muyingo for his unwavering support, especially the termly provision of food — posho and beans — for all pupils. He noted that the feeding program has significantly improved attendance, learner concentration, and academic performance.

The Thanksgiving Holy Mass was led by Rev. Fr. Godfrey Sserulangira, who reminded the congregation that gratitude to God is essential after every victory. He emphasized that successful schools are built when Headteachers, school management, parents, and the wider society work together toward a shared goal of excellence.

Special appreciation was extended to the school’s sister institution, Kakoola High School, led by Mr. Wagaba, for maintaining a strong partnership. Recently, the high school management donated a standby generator to support operations at the primary section, further strengthening collaboration between the two sister schools.

Parents who attended the celebration described St. John Chrysostom Kakoola Primary School as a championship institution that continues to demonstrate that government-funded schools can achieve outstanding results when supported by visionary leadership and community unity. They applauded Hon. Dr. JC Muyingo for advancing the educational legacy of his late father and sustaining transformation in Bamunanika.

With sustained investment, unity, and spiritual grounding, St. John Chrysostom Kakoola Primary School stands as a symbol of educational excellence and lasting transformation in Luweero District.
