Maurice Ochol, a former senior parliamentary and political reporter at NTV Uganda, has achieved a groundbreaking milestone by being commissioned as an officer in the United States Navy.
This esteemed branch of the U.S. armed forces is crucial to national defense, maritime security, and supporting global military operations.
Reflecting on his journey, Ochol shared his childhood dream of becoming a pilot while attending Naguru Katale Primary School. His academic path led him to Mora High School for O’Level and Kololo Senior Secondary School for A’Level.
He later pursued a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Diplomatic Studies at Cavendish University and earned a diploma in journalism from UMCAT.
As a journalist, Ochol gained significant experience and respect while working at NTV Uganda, where he covered political and parliamentary affairs with dedication.
His career in the newsroom reflected his commitment to informing the public and engaging with critical national issues.
Now, as an officer in the U.S. Navy, Ochol embarks on a new chapter of service, bringing his unique background and experiences to an international platform.
