The International Youth Fellowship (IYF) Academy Today celebrated its 5th graduation ceremony at Rubaga, with over 200 learners acquiring valuable skills in various fields. The event was graced by Hon. Dr. John Chrysostom Muyingo, the Minister of Education (Higher), who emphasized the importance of embracing the skills gained to serve communities in need.
Empowering Youth for a Brighter Future
The graduates acquired skills in high-demand areas such as languages (Spanish, Swahili, French, and English), cosmetology, electrical engineering, computer skills, tailoring, and taekwondo.
These skills were acquired through a sponsorship program with South Koreans, highlighting the impact of international collaborations in promoting education and skills development in Uganda.
In his address, Minister Dr. Muyingo encouraged the graduates to utilize their skills to make a positive impact in their communities, particularly in rural areas where their services are most needed. He also emphasized the value of language skills in accessing job opportunities, both locally and internationally.
A Call to Action for Responsible Leadership
As the country approaches the 2026 general elections, Dr. Muyingo urged the graduates to exercise their voting rights wisely, selecting leaders who are accountable, transparent, and committed to serving the nation. He praised the leadership of President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, encouraging the graduates to support his continued leadership.

IYF's Commitment to Empowering Youth
