Hon Dr John Chrysostom Muyingo has urged school administrators across Uganda to strictly follow and prioritize all Ebola Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as schools reopen countrywide for the new term.
The message was delivered on his behalf by his Political Personal Assistant, Waswa Abdulkarim Tamale, during Eid Adhuha prayers at Masigd Jamia Mosque in Kimwanyi, Kira ,Wakiso District.

Muslims gathered in large numbers for prayers to mark Eid Adhuha, one of the most important celebrations on the Islamic calendar.

During the prayers, Sheikh Mohammed Kamoga called upon Muslims to continue showing love, unity, and generosity to people in need not only during Eid but throughout everyday life.
In his Eid message, Hon Dr JC Muyingo congratulated Muslims upon celebrating Eid Adhuha and urged all Ugandans, especially school leaders and teachers, to remain vigilant by observing all health guidelines aimed at preventing the spread of Ebola as schools reopen.

He emphasized that protecting learners, teachers, and school communities should remain a priority during this school reopening period.
Muslim leaders also thanked Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for reappointing Hon Dr JC Muyingo as Minister of State for Higher Education, praising his continued commitment to the education sector and service to Ugandans.


Kiira Muslim District Kadhi Sheikh Daud Wasajja asked Muslims to celebrate Eid in accordance with Islamic teachings and avoid acts that contradict the values of Islam. He also reminded believers to sacrifice only animals permitted under Islamic law.
Sheikh Wasajja further explained that Eid Adhuha symbolizes obedience, sacrifice, faith, and compassion among Muslims worldwide.
Muslims across Kimwanyi Kira and surrounding areas marked Eid Adhuha with prayers, charity, and messages of unity, discipline, and public health awareness as schools reopen across the country.
