Pupils from Seeta Junior School Mbalala Mukono this week made an inspiring educational and cultural visit to Bulange Mengo, the historic headquarters of the Buganda Kingdom. The visit offered learners a unique opportunity to experience the heart of Buganda’s leadership, heritage, and tradition.

The young learners toured several key offices within Bulange, including the Lukiiko Hall, where the Buganda Parliament conducts its sessions, and the Kabaka’s administrative offices. They also had a rare chance to visit CBS FM, the Kingdom’s official radio station, where they interacted with broadcasters and learned how media contributes to preserving Buganda’s culture and values.
Speaking during the visit, Teacher Kamya Joel, who led the delegation, expressed appreciation to the Buganda Kingdom for warmly welcoming the pupils and offering them such a practical learning experience.

“This visit has opened our children’s minds to the greatness of our culture. They now understand that Buganda’s traditions are not only history but a living identity that shapes our morals, language, and unity,” Mr. Kamya remarked.
The pupils, visibly excited, shared their joy at learning about Buganda’s governance structure, the Kabaka’s leadership, and the importance of respecting and promoting cultural heritage. Many described the trip as “the most inspiring lesson outside the classroom.”
The school administration extended heartfelt gratitude to the Director of Seeta Schools and former Minister for Buganda Kingdom, Owek. Hon. Dr. JC Muyingo, for his continued vision and investment in holistic education. Under his leadership, Seeta Schools have not only excelled academically but also emphasized cultural values, discipline, and patriotism — molding learners who are both intellectually strong and culturally grounded.
The Headteacher Rev Sister . Cripina Namara, was equally commended for her exemplary leadership and tireless commitment to nurturing excellence at Seeta Junior School. Her efforts have helped position the school among the most respected learning institutions in Uganda.
Seeta Junior School continues to demonstrate that quality education goes beyond books — it is about shaping character, identity, and pride in one’s culture. The school’s strong partnership with parents and its dedication to national and cultural development remain a shining example in the education sector.
As one pupil summed it up beautifully:
“Today, I feel proud to be a Muganda and a learner of Seeta Junior School. I have learnt that to love our culture is to love who we are.”
Through such initiatives, Seeta Junior School Mbalala Mukono continues to stand tall — producing young, proud, and responsible citizens ready to carry forward the values of Buganda and Uganda at large.
