Super Supreme Mufti Sheikh Shaban Muhammad Galabuzi Calls for Muslim Self-Reliance and Sustainable Mosque Development in Kira Municipality
Kira Municipality, Uganda – The Sheikh Shaban Muhammad Galabuzi, the Super Supreme Mufti of Uganda, has called upon Muslims across the country to embrace hard work, unity, and innovation as key pillars for achieving self-reliance and long-term sustainability within the Islamic community.

While addressing congregants at a mosque in Kira Municipality, the Mufti emphasized the importance of safeguarding Islamic wealth and resources, urging believers to take collective responsibility in preserving and developing the assets of the Ummah.
In his remarks, the Super Supreme Mufti applauded the leadership of Kira Municipality for fostering cooperation and working closely with the Muslim community to promote unity and development. He noted that such collaboration is essential in building strong, resilient communities grounded in faith and shared purpose.

The Super Supreme Mufti further encouraged mosque leaders to adopt sustainable economic strategies, including the establishment of income-generating projects linked to mosques. He explained that these initiatives would help ensure financial stability, support religious activities, and improve service delivery within the community.
The event was attended by prominent Islamic leaders, including Sheikh Sowed Kayongo, the Super Supreme Khazi of Wakiso, who joined local officials in recognizing the contributions of community members toward Islamic development.

Special appreciation was extended to Hajji for his generous donation of land and the construction of a mosque. His contribution was praised as a lasting act of charity (Sadaqah Jariyah) that will benefit generations to come.
Leaders present reiterated the importance of continued investment in community-based initiatives, emphasizing that self-sufficiency, unity, and responsible stewardship remain central to the growth and strength of Islam in Uganda.
