Kampala — The Uganda Police Force is hunting Hajji Kamoga Muhamad, proprietor of Kamoga Property Consultants, who is now wanted under multiple criminal charges. A reward of 3,000,000 Shillings has been offered to anyone who provides information to help secure his arrest.

According to a public wanted notice, the charges against him include:

  • Forgery of land titles, transfer forms, lawyer’s signature, stamp, and practicing certificate (9 counts)
  • Uttering a false document (3 counts)
  • Obtaining registration by false pretence (2 counts)
  • Malicious damage, and
  • Unlawful eviction

Investigations by the Entebbe Chief Magistrate’s Court have revealed that between February and May 2021, while operating at the Wakiso Lands Office in Busiro, Kamoga allegedly forged transfer forms and a practicing certificate for a lawyer. He is accused of using these falsified documents to fraudulently register land in Busiro Block 435 and other plots.

On October 6, 2025, Grade One Magistrate Edgar Tibayeita Tusiime extended an arrest warrant after Kamoga again failed to appear in court.  Additionally, his sureties — including the Mayor of Katabi Town Council and a local council chairperson — were summoned and warned that failure to produce him by October 14 would result in their remand to Kigo Prison.

His defense team had previously claimed Kamoga was critically ill and required a medical rest period, but prosecutors submitted a certified hospital report showing he only presented as an outpatient. The court ruled these medical excuses unacceptable, underscoring that Kamoga is fit to attend trial.

Police are appealing to the public: Anyone with reliable information about his whereabouts should report to the nearest police station or call the toll-free police lines. The Uganda Police emphasizes that those involved in forgery, fraud, and land-related crimes will be pursued and held accountable.
