Seeta High School Green Campus Shines Bright in UACE 2025 as 343 Candidates Deliver Outstanding Performance

 Seeta High School Green Campus has once again reinforced the strong academic tradition of Seeta Schools after registering impressive results in the 2025 Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) examinations. According to results released by the Uganda National Examinations Board, the campus presented 343 candidates, all of whom demonstrated strong academic performance and secured results that qualify them to pursue university and other higher education opportunities. Education observers describe the results as a reflection of the institution’s continued dedication to nurturing disciplined, focused and ambitious learners. Headteacher Paul Alibundi congratulated the students for their determination and resilience, noting that their success reflects months of commitment, preparation and teamwork. He explained that the school places strong emphasis on academic mentorship, guided learning and a structured study environment that enables learners to perform confidently in national examinations. “Our students remained committed throughout their preparation and our teachers worked tirelessly to guide them. Tension Rises in Luweero as Kirabo NRM Supporters Challenge Woman MP Election Results

Political tension continues to build in Luweero District following the highly contested race for the District Woman Member of Parliament seat between Brenda Nabukenya of the National Unity Platform and Kirabo Agnes Nantongo of the National Resistance Movement. Although Nabukenya was declared the winner, Kirabo NRM supporters insist the political contest is not yet over, claiming that the final results did not reflect the true will of voters in Luweero.According to Kirabo NRM supporters, several Declaration of Results (DR) forms allegedly show that Kirabo Nantongo was leading by more than 3,000 votes before the final announcement was made. They claim that irregularities occurred during the tallying process and allege that some officials from the Electoral Commission of Uganda were influenced to alter the final outcome.  Kirabo NRM Supporters Mobilize  A group of about 30 Kirabo NRM supporters, mainly youths from Kalagala Subcounty and other areas in Luweero, have vowed to stand firm until what they describe as the “true victory” of their candidate is restored.The group says they are ready to support any legal process that ensures transparency, including a recount of votes or even a fresh election if necessary. They also claim that during the election period, some NRM supporters faced intimidation from political rivals, which they say prevented them from effectively protecting their results at certain polling stations. Appeal to President Museveni  Kirabo NRM supporters have also appealed to the National Chairman of the NRM and President of Uganda, Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, to take interest in the matter. They say Luweero holds historical significance in Uganda’s political history and believe the concerns being raised by voters in the district deserve serious attention.  Court Decision Could Change the Outcome  The matter is now before court, and residents across Luweero are anxiously waiting for the ruling that could determine the next step. If the evidence presented by the NRM side is found credible, the court could order a recount of votes or even a by-election. Kirabo NRM supporters point to a recent case in Masaka City involving Justine Nameere, where a court-ordered recount eventually changed the initially declared result. For Kirabo NRM supporters, that example gives them hope that the Luweero case could follow a similar path if the evidence is strong enough.  District Waits for Verdict  With both candidates yet to give detailed public statements about the ongoing court process, tension remains high across Luweero District. For now, Kirabo NRM supporters say they will continue waiting for the court’s decision, confident that the judicial process will reveal what they believe to be the true outcome of the Luweero vote.

Seeta High School Main Campus Celebrates Stellar UACE 2025 Results with 24 Students Scoring Maximum Points

Seeta High School Mukono – Mbalala Campus Ranked Among Top Performers in 2025 UACE Results

Mukono District — Seeta High School Mukono – Mbalala Campus has emerged among the top-performing schools in Uganda in the 2025 Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) examinations following the release of results by the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB). According to the results released on Friday, March 13, 2026, the school registered 308 candidates, all of whom qualified for university admission after attaining the required principal passes. The results show an outstanding performance with 27 candidates scoring the maximum 20 points, while the majority of the candidates obtained 19 points. All 308 candidates attained at least three principal passes, meaning every student qualified for university education. The impressive performance places Seeta High School Mukono – Mbalala Campus among the top UACE-performing schools in Uganda for 2025. While addressing students and teachers during an assembly at the school, Headteacher Boniface Ssebukalu congratulated the candidates for their dedication and discipline that enabled them to excel in the national examinations. He noted that science students registered particularly strong results compared to arts students, reflecting the school’s continued emphasis on science and technology education.Ssebukalu attributed the success to the school’s values and strong spiritual foundation. He said the school’s tradition of putting God first has remained a pillar that guides students to remain focused and disciplined, which contributes to their academic success. He encouraged the successful candidates to remain responsible and focused as they advance to universities and future careers, urging them to become productive citizens who contribute positively to the development of the country. Teachers who prepared the candidates also praised the teamwork among students, parents and the school administration. Deputy RDC Prossy Mwanjuzi Closes Bright Way Junior School in Mityana Over Alleged Torture of P.7 Pupil

 Mityana District —2026: The Deputy Resident District Commissioner for Mityana District, Prossy Mwanjuzi, has ordered the immediate closure of Bright Way Junior School in Naalyamagonja Village, Kyamusisi Parish, Kalangaalo Sub County following investigations into the alleged torture of a Primary Seven pupil by the school proprietor. The decision followed a report compiled by the Mityana District Education and Sports Department after authorities received information on March 9, 2026, that a learner had been severely assaulted at the school. According to the report submitted by the Acting District Inspector of Schools, the victim, Nabatanzi Irene, a 14-year-old Primary Seven pupil, was allegedly tortured by the school proprietor Bukenya Fredrick, also known as Amooti. During the investigation, the suspect admitted to the act and reportedly apologized verbally to the authorities. The pupil told investigators that she had been tied with ropes and beaten severely, resulting in injuries on the upper back, arms and legs, while also complaining of serious internal head pain. The victim was initially treated at Kyamusisi Health Centre III, later at Bukuya Health Centre, and subsequently at Mityana Main Hospital before being referred to Mulago National Referral Hospital for further medical management, particularly for suspected head injuries. At the time of the inspection, the learner was reportedly unable to stand on her own following the torture. The pupil’s mother later reported the matter to CPS Mityana Police Station at Kuywa under Reference Number 33/27/02/26. Education authorities also followed up the case with police, and after further engagement with AIP Kamugisha Salim, the suspect was summoned again, recorded a statement and was detained to assist with ongoing investigations. Investigations by the District Education Department also uncovered several irregularities at the school. Authorities established that Bright Way Junior School was operating without a license from the Ministry of Education and Sports, although it had been issued an Early Childhood Development (ECD) license No. MTY/DLG/ECD/014/2025. Earlier, the Mityana District Inspector of Schools had already issued a closure notice to the proprietor after preliminary findings revealed serious violations at the institution. However, authorities reported that the school management failed to fully comply with the directive and continued operating, prompting further intervention from district leadership. Sources within the district indicated that the proprietor allegedly attempted to use political connections, claiming support from area Member of Parliament Hon. Kibedi Nsegumire in an effort to resist the closure order. District officials emphasized that enforcement actions are based strictly on the law and the safety of learners, regardless of any political affiliations. Inspectors further discovered poor learning and boarding conditions, including unfinished dormitories, lack of a perimeter fence, inadequate security, overcrowded dormitories where pupils sleep on the floor, and the presence of unqualified teachers. At the time of the closure, the school had a total enrollment of 273 pupils, comprising 115 boys and 158 girls, ranging from Baby Class to Primary Seven. Following these findings, Deputy RDC Prossy Mwanjuzi ordered the immediate closure of the school to safeguard the welfare of learners. A formal closure notice was issued to the proprietor in the presence of the LC1 Chairperson of Naalyamagonja Village, while the Kalangaalo Sub County Chief was also notified. District authorities emphasized that violence against learners and illegal operation of schools will not be tolerated, warning that strict measures will continue to be taken against institutions that violate education standards and child protection laws.
