Vvumba, Bamunanika County — Luweero District

As part of the continued efforts to improve education service delivery in Luweero District, the Office of the National Chairman (ONC) conducted a monitoring visit today to Vvumba Church of Uganda Primary School, highlighting progress in school leadership and opportunities for infrastructure expansion.

The visit was led by Waswa Abdulkarim Tamale, ONC Regional Coordinator for Greater Luweero and Political Personal Assistant to Dr. John Chrysostom Muyingo. The exercise was conducted under the guidance of Yoweri Kaguta Museveni through the Office of the National Chairman headed by Senior Presidential Advisor and Chief Mobilizer Hadijah Namyalo, who continues to oversee the coordination of government education programs.

During the visit, school administrators and teachers expressed gratitude for the government’s continuous support, including timely payment of teachers’ salaries and the regular release of capitation grants, which have strengthened operations in the school.

The monitoring team observed that while teaching and learning activities were progressing well, the school would benefit from the construction of additional classroom structures to accommodate the increasing number of learners. These new classrooms would ensure that pupils have enough space to learn comfortably and that the school can maintain quality education standards.

Tamale recommended that government and community efforts prioritize the construction of these new structures to provide a more conducive learning environment. He emphasized that expanding the school’s infrastructure is in line with President Museveni’s vision to improve access to quality education in all rural communities.

Teachers at Vvumba CU Primary School were commended for their dedication to pupils’ learning, and Tamale encouraged continued collaboration with parents and community leaders to ensure children have the necessary support to succeed academically.

The monitoring exercise reaffirmed the commitment of the Office of the National Chairman and the Office of Dr. Muyingo to continuously supervise and improve education service delivery across Luweero District, ensuring that government programs reach every learner and strengthen overall school performance.
