Monitoring of education service delivery by the Office of the National Chairman (ONC) has highlighted the importance of strengthening school infrastructure at St Augustine Primary School located in Zirobwe, Bamunanika County, Luweero District.

The monitoring exercise was conducted by Waswa Abdulkarim Tamale, the ONC Regional Coordinator for Greater Luweero and Political Personal Assistant to Dr. John Chrysostom Muyingo.

The visit took place under the guidance of Yoweri Kaguta Museveni through the Office of the National Chairman led by Senior Presidential Advisor and Chief Mobilizer Hadijah Namyalo, who continues to coordinate supervision of government programs aimed at strengthening service delivery across communities.

During the visit, the monitoring team interacted with school administrators and teachers who welcomed the initiative and appreciated the government for its continued support to the education sector.

School leaders particularly commended the government for ensuring timely payment of teachers’ salaries and the consistent release of capitation grants, which have helped schools maintain teaching and learning activities.

The school administration highlighted the importance of renovating some of the existing classroom buildings, and Tamale recommended that these renovations be prioritized to provide a more conducive learning environment for pupils.

Teachers noted that improving classroom structures would enhance the comfort and safety of learners while supporting better academic performance.

Tamale commended the teachers for their dedication and commitment to nurturing learners despite the challenges faced by many rural schools.

He emphasized that the government under the leadership of President Museveni continues to prioritize education development across the country, especially in rural communities where schools play a central role in shaping the future of young people.

Tamale also encouraged parents and community leaders in Zirobwe and surrounding areas to continue supporting school programs and ensure that children remain in school to benefit from government education initiatives.

The monitoring exercise reaffirmed the commitment of the Office of the National Chairman and the Office of Dr. Muyingo to continue supervising government programs and ensuring that education service delivery continues to improve across Luweero District and the country at large.
