Busiika, Bamunanika County — Luweero District
The Office of the National Chairman (ONC) has today conducted a monitoring visit to Busiika UMEA Primary School, emphasizing the importance of improving education infrastructure while acknowledging progress in school operations.

The monitoring exercise was led by Waswa Abdulkarim Tamale, ONC Regional Coordinator for Greater Luweero and Political Personal Assistant to Dr. John Chrysostom Muyingo. The visit was undertaken under the guidance of Yoweri Kaguta Museveni through the Office of the National Chairman headed by Senior Presidential Advisor and Chief Mobilizer Hadijah Namyalo, who continues to coordinate government programs in the education sector.

During the visit, school administrators and teachers expressed their appreciation to the government for timely payment of teachers’ salaries and the regular release of capitation grants, which continue to support smooth school operations and ensure that learners benefit from quality education.
The monitoring team observed that the school has made significant progress in teaching and learning activities, but additional classroom structures are needed to accommodate the growing pupil population. Furthermore, the school would benefit from constructing a new toilet facility to improve sanitation and hygiene standards for both pupils and staff.

Tamale recommended that the construction of additional classrooms and the new toilet be prioritized as part of the ongoing efforts to strengthen the school’s infrastructure and ensure a more conducive learning environment.
Teachers at Busiika UMEA Primary School were commended for their dedication to learners, and Tamale emphasized the importance of community and parental support in maintaining school facilities and assisting learners with educational needs.
