LUWEERO SUB-REGION – The Office of the National Chairman (ONC) continues to monitor and support the implementation of the Parish Development Model (PDM), a flagship government initiative aimed at transforming household incomes and promoting wealth creation at the grassroots.

During a PDM monitoring exercise led by ONC Luweero Sub-Region Coordinator Wasswa Abdulkarim Tamale, beneficiaries shared encouraging testimonies on how government programs are changing lives and improving household welfare.

Among the beneficiaries visited was Mrs. Natimba Monica of Lubiri Zone, Kyampisi Parish, Bamunanika Sub-county, whose poultry enterprise has registered notable growth since benefiting from the Parish Development Model.

After receiving UGX 1 million through PDM, Natimba invested the funds in broiler poultry farming, an enterprise she says has significantly improved her household income. Through proper management of the project, she has been able to generate earnings that have helped her meet important family obligations, including paying school fees for her children.

The proceeds from the poultry project have also enabled her to begin constructing a permanent poultry structure, a milestone that will further strengthen and expand her enterprise.

Speaking during the ONC monitoring visit, Natimba expressed gratitude to President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and the Government of Uganda for introducing programs that provide ordinary citizens with access to productive capital.

“PDM has helped me improve my income through poultry farming. I am now able to pay school fees for my children and I am constructing a permanent structure for my chickens. I encourage fellow Ugandans to embrace PDM and other government programs because they can transform lives,” she said.

ONC Luweero Sub-Region Coordinator Wasswa Abdulkarim Tamale commended beneficiaries who are utilizing PDM funds productively and reiterated the office’s commitment to monitoring government wealth-creation initiatives to ensure they deliver meaningful results.

Natimba’s story is another example of how PDM is empowering households, strengthening livelihoods, and contributing to socio-economic transformation across communities in the Luweero Sub-Region.
